Join a Walk Team
Many of our walkers form one or more Walk Teams to walk together with friends, family or coworkers and maximising their fundraising efforts. JDRF staff and volunteer mentors can help you strategize the best ways to raise funds as a team.
Corporate Teams
Corporate teams are a big part of what makes the Walk to Cure Diabetes successful! Forming a Corporate Walk Team in the Walk to Cure Diabetes is your opportunity to build cooperation, team spirit, excitement and inspiration among your employees. Most companies that form Corporate Walk Teams try to recruit 20-50% of their employee base. Whether you are a small "mom & pop" shop or a large corporation you will find this to be an energizing, exciting and rewarding event in which to take part. JDRF suggests that companies extend the invitation to employee's family members and friends as well. JDRF will help you structure your team and offer fundraising ideas to help your team achieve success!

Family Teams
Looking for a great way to spend time with family and friends, have fun, and support a wonderful cause? Form a Family Walk Team!!! Families are forming teams of relatives and friends to walk and raise money for a cure. Ask your immediate family, extended family, neighbors, clients, babysitters, co-workers, doctors and anyone else you would like to walk and raise funds for juvenile diabetes research on your family’s behalf.

School Teams
Don’t forget to include your child’s school in your fundraising efforts. Invite your principal, school nurse, teachers and classmates to join your Walk team or host a School Walk on your campus. As the leading charitable funder and advocate of juvenile (type 1) diabetes research worldwide, JDRF has seen the tremendous impact that students, teachers and entire schools can have in increasing awareness and raising the necessary funds to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. Now is the perfect time for your school to become a part of that effort. Form a walk team by designating a team captain that will recruit walkers to participate in the event and fundraise at your school. By taking part in the Walk to Cure Diabetes, your faculty and students will have the chance to work together to foster community involvement and charitable giving, and students will be able to earn community service credit in the process.

Virtual Walk Team
A “virtual walk team” is comprised of a person or family whose sole purpose is to raise money for the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. Virtual walk team participants do not need to attend the Walk events. Simply register online and get started fundraising!
