Family Network Program

Come join the Family Network! Whether your family has been living with Juvenile Diabetes for days, months, or years, the network is designed to help children and adolescents cope with this way of living. But that is just the beginning. Once you find the Family Network, you will continue to grow your JDRF family, meeting a variety of people with common interests and shared experiences.

Family Network Pic1A family interested in being connected with the Network will meet other families at quarterly get-togethers, walking together at the Walk to Cure Diabetes, and other activities coordinated by members.

The Network is about sharing, helping, listening, and new friendships with people who understand your fears, questions, and yes, even your tears. We are not professionals, but concerned parents who have been where you are.

Family Network Pic 2Not only will you have the opportunity to meet people who share the diabetes connection, but you may find friends with whom you can swap babysitting, find new golf or walking partners, or just a weekly cup of coffee. You will find common interests that may lead to the planning of camping trips, hikes, beach trips, mini-golfing, you name it!

All families living with Juvenile Diabetes are welcome to be a part of the Family Network. The Network works through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, but all activities are organized and coordinated by volunteers. There is no cost to be connected to the Network.
